The mystery deepens...
Apparently WeatherPanel has been sneakily updated to 2.5 - but still no word from the developer. He must be around, who else could have done the update. Reports say that the new version is even smoother and faster.

Some have said that it was an automated. Is it your opinion that he did this and must still be around? You would know better than me. I don't know about website stuff like that. If that is the case, that may just mean that he is dealing with some crisis and chooses to stay quiet and just keep his deal going.
Just a few days ago it was version 2.5.0. Now it's 2.5.1 and the dates of the dll's are 01/12/06. Also, an interesting new utility has launched a beta version. Marsware NewsPanel.

Well, I think there can't be anyone else behind it that Martian himself (unless he made the update a while back and set a timer for it to update now). I won't recommend WeatherPanel until we know more and he makes some sort of posting at his forums.
There's another new beta on the user account downloadsite. TimePanel.

It is very strange. Looking at the updates (especially 2.5.0 > 2.5.1) it definitely looks like this is an actively supported application (as opposed to just some timed updates setup months ago). Curious....
