No more paypal...
...I removed the option to buy my skin suites from paypal after they sent me a rather nasty message implying that I'm "laundering money" and wanting me to send them faxes with every kind of document imaginable. People who bought the suites form my site will of course get all updates as usual. I'll also look into Pocketgear and other channels of distribution. :(

Are you sure the email is legitimate? There all kinds of false PayPal emails circulating, most of which try to use money laundering as the hook to get you to send them something.
Perhaps it's worth reporting it via the PayPal website and see what they come back with.

It is legit, since it wasn't an email. It was a message after logging in to paypal.
I have had a similar experience with PayPal and refused to give them any business after that. I dislike being pre-accused of wrongdoing, and this was before I had made/received a single payment.
Sorry, forgot to add perhaps you can use Kagi to process payments? I often pay for shareware apps for my Mac with Kagi...always a smooth, trouble-free experience, but obviously a credit card is required.
Well, since Handango charges 40% per sale I think they can handle it (at least, I should get something for all the money I pay to them).
I realize the paypal message is an automated one. You get it when you have processed a certain amount. But very rude, like they assume you are a criminal.
Indeed. I've had some nasty sounding messages from them - their automated systems are VERY sensitive and bark at the slightest thing - I've heard this from a number of people. Christian
It is a legit email, and it does also say that they are forced to do this according to EU rules. All merchants receive this mail after they've had sales over a certain amount.
